Another rushed entry for Illustration Friday! Life is just too busy at the moment! I had a few ideas for this (which I intend to do and post later) but due to workload this 10 minute Illustrator pic will have to do for this week!RegardsDal
I just bought a copy of Corel painter X and got the loan of a Wacom Tablet. I'll have to get my own tablet soon - they are great fun to work with. Above is my first experiment with a new 'medium' on the PC. Regards

I kinda liked this image. It was an early possibility for the 'multiple' theme, but fell by the wayside. Thought I'd post it here anyway.

Another week, another Illustration Friday theme. This week the theme is 'Multiple'. I have had a lot of fun playing around with several ideas for this one.
However the image I finally settled on was the one above - Multiple Possibilities.
I decided to illustrate my chaotic thought process in the run up to each Friday's deadline!
Hope you like it.

'In theory a wish would be granted upon seeing a shooting star.'For this image - as usual - I used Adobe Illustrator extensively.
I'm very happy with the background image, I feel I hit the mark I intended, but I think the people in the foreground are a bit 'underdeveloped'. On reflection I would have liked a 'rougher' feel to them as well and they seem a bit shallow.
I may come back to this one and rework it at a future date. I think it has potential, but work and life has caught up on me this week and so it will have to do for now.In theory... I should have had more time to work on this! Thanks and regards....Dalriada

My father died five years ago from cancer. Among his things were a few photographs of him in his late teens, taken around 1949.
This illustration is based on one of those photos. I think maybe I'll broaden it's scope eventually, using it in another image with a bit more depth to it. In the meantime, I thought I'd share what I'd done with it so far.

Illustration Friday can be found at http://www.illustrationfriday.com . This is my first submission. I feel more than a bit daunted due to the level and skill of the many participants. I'll just stand quietly in a corner and take in the view.

'Choose' Illustration: Time spent 2 hours

BT5 is a Belfast area code, specifically the area I live in. I needed a blog title, it's as good as any I suppose.
I intend to use this blog to display my attempts at creativity. I fully expect this to be very hit and miss, since I have a full time life and don't have as much time for illustration as I would like.
However I do want to try and develop the scope of my creative and technical capabilities and hopefully improve over the coming months.
Thanks for reading...
